Bloomsbury and Entreculturas Montesión, absolute champions of the Costa Blanca Cup Futsal
The British club achieves overall victory in the women's category and the Balearic entity does so in the men's category on the final day of the international base futsal tournament
Benidorm (7/7/2023). The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal already knows its 2023 absolute champions: the British club Bloomsbury FS Club lifted the global trophy for the women's tournament and the Balearic entity CD Entreculturas Montesión did the same in the women's tournament in the eighteenth edition of the sporting event. A Friday morning session of pure futsal completed a whole week of great play on the slopes of all the activated venues.
These clubs won the global title in their respective categories as a result of the total sum of points based on the teams with which they appeared on CBC Futsal.
Friday morning had up to six finals scheduled. In the female case, in the older segment (G), Xaloc Alacant FS achieved victory against La Nucía FS by a score of 5-4. In G16, CD El Ejido defeated Futsal San Vicente E.I. (11-0). And in G14, in the British rivalry duel, Bloomsbury FS Club claimed a 6-2 win against Chiltern UTD.
On Thursday afternoon, Pequeñas Promesas achieved the final victory in G12 after winning against La Nucía F.S. for a tight 6-5.
In the men's category, this Friday, in B16, the UD Benissa players won the category title after a tight final against Ribeco Castalla FS with a score of 7-8. In B14, the Belgians from JZ98 prevailed 2-6 in the duel against the Balearic Islands from CD Entreculturas Montesión. In B12, the French team from Torcy Futsal Evasion Urbaine beat another team from the same Balearic club, which attended the tournament with a total of eight teams, 8-7.
On Friday the JKS SMS Jaroslaw in B19 were already proclaimed champions; and La Nucía FS did a double in B10 and in B8.
The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal, organized by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas S.L., has sponsors and collaborators such as Kappa, Grupo HCB Hospitales, Grupo Sala, De Aquí para Fuera, Aqualandia, Mundomar and Terra Mítica. It is celebrated in a total of seven venues such as Benidorm, Benissa, Calpe, Altea, Alfàs del Pi, La Nucía, Polop, Finestrat and Villajoyosa y Callosa.
