With the arrival of teams, the delivery of material and accreditations and the registration in the different accommodations, among other formalities, today the development of a new edition, the 2024 edition, of the Costa Blanca Cup has begun, initially, in its version of indoor football. It will be just before its 'big sister', the Costa Blanca Football Cup, which starts next Sunday, will finally wear a round and very important number: its 30th edition. The indoor soccer game that now begins will be number nineteen, which does not represent a bad background either. And it will have its headquarters in Benidorm, as is the usual norm, and from today, the 25th, until next June 30th. According to sources from the organization, for the track championship, and once registration is closed, there will be up to a total of 57 teams, from five countries that will enter the fray starting tomorrow, the scheduled date for the start of the events. matches. Of them, Spain, with 42 groups, from nine different provinces, will be the largest country. Next, there will be France (9 teams), England (2), Poland (3), all representing the European continent; and Pakistan (1) doing the same on behalf of South Asia.
Apart from the Benidorm headquarters, which has up to three different playing fields, the matches will also take place in the towns of Altea and Villajoyosa. A total of ten categories have been established, into which the different squads will be divided. Of them, six will be for men (B8, B10, B12, B14, B16 and B19) and the remaining four will be for women (G12, G14, G16 and G). All matches will be directed by federated referees, designated for this purpose, and in all tournaments of the different categories, first phases, qualifying rounds and finals are established.
