The 27th edition of the Costa Blanca Cup is inaugurated with Sandra Paños as ambassador
A total of 174 teams between the soccer and futsal tournaments, and more than 2,100 participants, represented from four different countries (Spain, the United States, France and Belgium), shape the sporting event of 2021
The audience at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Benidorm were the protagonists themselves: the soccer players. The 27th edition of the Costa Blanca Soccer and Futsal Cup was inaugurated this Monday in an Inauguration ceremony marked by the security measures and protocol against the coronavirus, the use of masks and the responsibility and discipline of the participants themselves, endorsing the values of sport.
The delegations of all the participating teams were represented in an emotional act, animated with dance performances (with Boogie Block) and percussion with water (Crearte Events), with the welcome by the first deputy mayor of Benidorm, Ana Pellicer , and the virtual intervention of the tournament ambassador, Sandra Paños, Alicante goalkeeper for FC Barcelona and the Spanish team, who this season won the Champions League, the League and the Queen's Cup with her club.
The event also made it possible to publicize the common thread that surrounds the tournament logo in this edition with water as its essence. The fluidity, flow, energy, vitality, strength, resistance of the liquid element support four basic pillars of the Costa Blanca Cup: the tournament itself, the participants, the organizing company (Tour-Sport Sports Promotions) and the own venues that host soccer and futsal matches.
An edition to recover the pulse after 2020
A total of 174 teams between the soccer and futsal tournaments, and more than 2,100 participants, representing four different countries (Spain, the United States, France and Belgium), shape the sporting event of 2021. The event could not take place in 2020 due to the global pandemic of Covid-19, but this year the pulse recovers, the ball rolling again in the different venues: Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, La Nucía, Villajoyosa, Alfàs del Pi and Finestrat.
Precisely, this same Monday, the matches of different male and female categories of the soccer and futsal tournament started. The ball rolled across fields and tracks. The morning and afternoon sessions recorded the first results, which can be followed live through the official tournament pages (www.costablancacup.com and www.costablancafutsalcup.com) or by downloading the app for IOS or Android.
The development of the matches lasted until mid-afternoon until the moment in which the teams were summoned to an opening ceremony that could be followed live on the official YouTube channel of the Costa Blanca Cup and that recorded 4,836 reproductions.
